The real cure begins with finding the source of the disease.

According to the United Nations (UN), the world's population of people aged 100 and older is growing rapidly each year, with the population being 90,000 in 1990. The UN predicts that this population will reach 1 million people for the first time ever recorded in history in 2030. One of the countries that is increasing in this population is the United States. According to the UN's statistics in 2015, United States held the largest population of people aged 100 and over at 62,000 people. Year after year, this number will continue to increase.

Although life expectancy is rising, the number of people suffering from diseases is also steadily increasing. Let us take a look into the statistics:

In 1980, about 160,000 people died of cancer, but today, more than 350,000 people die. In just 30 years, this number has risen to be about 200,000 more. It is stated that one out of two people get cancer, and of these numbers, one out of three people die.

Although the United States is considered one of the longest-lived countries, many people suffer from sickness, diminishing the quality of life lived. We are then led to this question: How is it that while the United States is improving in its medical technology day by day, and new drugs are rapidly developed, why is the prevalence of sickness still on the rise?

The cause of these diseases is food. Chemical additives in commercial/processed foods have exceeded acceptable levels.

If food is the source of these diseases, an impure intestine is at the root of these diseases. Therefore, an enzyme-rich diet is the optimal way to keep your gut healthy. Any present disease is unable to be cured unless intestinal immunity is improved through the cleansing of intestinal contamination. Enzymes are essential to health as they act as catalysts in converting nutrients into life energy. Enzymes are rich in raw fruits, vegetables, and fermented foods. These foods contain enzymes, three major nutrients (carbohydrates, fats, proteins), vitamins, and minerals.

Dietary fiber is just as essential as enzymes are for health. Dietary fiber is a vital nutrient that is indispensable to the intestines as it facilitates in the excretion of waste. It also plays a role in being the food source for gut bacteria. It has recently been discovered that organic acids, called short-chain fatty acids, produced by fermentation of intestinal bacteria are very important for maintaining and improving health, such as boosting immunity. Foods that are rich in fiber are: brown rice, grains, fruits, beans, potatoes, and mushrooms. One must consciously choose such foods in order to maintain his or her health. This is the reason why one must limit the amount of times he or she eats out, have set meal times at reasonable hours (dinner being 4 hours before bedtime), and refrain from snacking.

Although our work hours and circumstances in our lives keep us from maintaining these set of rules, there is no health without our investments and conscious efforts. No one can care more about your health than anyone else except for yourself. Therefore, try your best to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, limit the amount of times you eat out, and have set mealtimes.
